Dance for a Dead Princess by Deborah Hawkins
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Romantic notions can bewitch a heart, even one that's deadened by loss and sadness. Would you defend the one you swore to love, even after death? I absolutely adored the way the author used Princess Diana as part of the story. Marketing gimmick or not it definitely caught my attention.
Dance for a Dead Princess explores just how far we'll go to seek justice, as leading character Nicholas Carey works endlessly to find the murderer responsible for his friend Princess Diana's death. Having suffered the profound loss of his own wife some years earlier, Carey is determined to uncover the truth.
What he wasn't counting on was encountering charming, wily Taylor Collins, with whom he journeys to unveil ancient secrets best kept buried and learns just how deep his heart is. Brilliantly written, Dance for a Dead Princess captures your attention and imagination from the first sentence and doesn't let go until the end.
