Smart and deadly, Lethal Greed grabs the reader right out of the gate and doesn't let go. Mefford, clearly studied in the lives of those in border states and cartel practices, spins a web of mystery, deceit, crime and death you won't be able to put down until its bitter end.
You do not need to read the first book to appreciate the second but I do recommend that you do so you have a clearer understanding and idea of the characters.
Written in a straightforward, to-the-point style, the hits come quick and you'll have to pay attention to keep up. Uncovering this mystery is an enjoyable thrill ride with high stakes and drama that's true to life.
