The Bully Barn: A Lesson For Bullies, Bystanders and Victims by Robert Gioia
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
A great book that can also open up discussions about bullying between parent and child. Bullying may be a fact of life but I am confident that if a child is taught early on the definitions of bullying and what not to do, the chances of dealing with bullying are better. The pictures and simple sentences are able to keep a child engaged.
Treating others how you want to be treated is a lesson that many do not practice anymore. Most people let alone children treat people one way and expect to be treated another. The Bully Barn highlights this using Marty the Mouse and it is a powerful lesson for child and parent.
