Cast in Blood by Michelle Rabe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I found myself completely lost in this book from start to finish. The flow of the story was excellent and you did not feel forced to join the characters in the story. Morgan sometimes came across as a know it all who didn’t anyone to help her but this worked for her character. It didn’t make her arrogant. It made her unique and independent.
Morgan Blackstone definitely has a lot of potential to become a long-term series or even a tv series. The drama was engaging and not over dramatic to the point of losing the reader. There was a recent vampire read we had at the book club where each chapter ended with a question mark which was the author’s intention to hook readers into the next book in the series. Uhhh, no. And thank goodness this book was nothing like that.
Everything that needed to be answered was answered in this book and I look forward to reading more writing from this author. I wish her all the best with her writing and this book was definitely a fantastic start.
